hey, guys,
i am so happy to return to the routines of everyday life. i find comfort in that.
and to have hope in my resolve to make changes in areas that have not working for me.
i'm back from the land of the holidays and i survived! that's all i need to say about that.
i really want to get with some important people to me and renew those bonds that have been neglected for whatever reason.
i'm a very creative person and i need to be doing things and making things and learning from others work and play. i have so much on my mind.
god has been immensely good to me and forgiving and i live in his grace. i wear a ring that says grace and when a few times i have been asked about it, i have had the opprtunity to share that if it were not for the grace of god, i would not be standing there that day. i feel his cover washing over me and i know he has more for me to do. i pray for this to be a year of me stepping up to whatever that is. thank-you, jesus. peace to all. donna

hello little blogpeople,
i hate the holidays. there. i said it. it may sound harsh, but i have many reasons for it.
just a few-the guilt to buy presents for people who don't need anything or will hate the gift.
spending money you can't afford just so you can make people "happy".
wondering who is going to have the dinner at their house and going around with this.
so, what food are you supposed to take and what are you supposed to wear?
overeating and feeling sick from eating many rich and fattening foods.
the dreaded football game and having to act like i enjoy it.
the women in one room and the men in the other.
not to mention getting all the decorations out and the hassle of putting up the tree, etc.
so, i'm not putting up a tree or decorating. i feel so liberated from all the hassle. i have given me permission to accept my real feelings.
we will still buy a few gift cards for our kids and attend the dinner, but if i need a time-out, i will find a quiet place to escape to and maybe read a book for awhile.
the most important part of christmas for me will be christmas eve communion. thank-you pk
